We are committed to providing our visitors with a web site that respects their privacy. This page summarizes the privacy policy and practices of Calgary Search and Rescue Association.


We do not automatically gather any personal information from you, such as your name, phone number, e-mail or address. This information is only obtained if you supply it voluntarily, usually through contacting us via e-mail or through donations.


Any personal information you do provide is protected under the federal Privacy Act. We do not and will not sell or share donor information, i.e. names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, etc. We obviously need your name, address, phone, email, etc. to do business with, but all that information stays with us. Your privacy is our main concern.


We also keep your direct donation information private and secure. All of your private information stays with us. We do not and will not share, sell, or trade customer or client information. We are here to provide you with the best SAR related information and donation experience. We currently are not using any telemarketing companies for our fundraising activities.


We use a site traffic analyzing tool to help in fine tuning our web site and for statistical purposes only. We use software that receives and records the Internet Protocol (IP) address of the computer that has contacted our Web site. We make no attempt to link these addresses with the identity of individuals visiting our site, unless fraudulent activity is suspected.

This site contains links to other sites. Calgary Search and Rescue Association is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such Web sites.
