Recruitment

A search is an emergency and can happen at any time. We look for enthusiastic people who are ready to be deployed to the field at a moment’s notice, participate in ongoing training, contribute at committee meetings, support the AdventureSmart education program and engage in community engagement events.

We are looking for volunteers with the following criteria:

  • Over 18 years old

  • Dedicated to helping people and the community

  • Willing to regularly attend searches, training, committee meetings and community events

  • Able to contribute minimum of 40 hours per year, after basic training

  • Available to attend mandatory 65-hour basic training program (next scheduled program TBA)

  • Have a valid Standard First Aid Certificate (current within six months of expiry). Don't apply unless you will have your First Aid Certificate in time for the start of training.

  • Good physical condition

  • A collaborative team player

  • Volunteer and community oriented

  • Must pass a Police Enhanced Security Clearance

  • COMMITMENT!!!

* Payment of $300 training and uniform deposit required at first day of training
